Intimacy Choreography

Intimacy Choreography or Intimacy Direction is a creative and technical process for creating physical and emotional intimacy, nudity, and sexual violence in live performance. In addition to content of sexual nature, intimacy also includes content that leverages race, disability, religion, or age with appropriate cultural context and competency. 

From simple kisses to elaborate and graphic multi-partner intimate moments, well-choreographed intimacy ensures that the production, director, choreographers, and actors are well-supported with concrete techniques to do what they do best: tell powerful stories.

With extensive experience in theatre, opera, dance, site-specific, and immersive performance, I work with producers, directors, and actors to develop intimacy choreography strategies that support every production.
